Indian Navy published notification for 10+2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme course. Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy. The course will commence from June 2017 and cadets will be awarded Permanent Commissioning in Indian Navy. The last date to apply online is 2nd January 2016. Eligibility for Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry 2017

Age- 17 to 19½ years i.e. born between 02 Jul 1997 & 01 Jan 2000 (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification- Applicants must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Physical Standards
Height and Weight. Minimum height – 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.
Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standards for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
Tattoo. Permanent body tattoos on any part of the body are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal communities/from tribal areas as declared by the Government of India.

Application Fee

There is no application fee charged by the Indian Navy for the 10+2 B Tech entry.

Indian Navy 10+2 Cadet Entry Selection Process

Candidates will be issued call up letter for Services Selection Board (SSB) interview based on their performance in Senior Secondary Education (10+2 equivalent). Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during Feb - Apr 17. Candidates clearing stage-1 have to attend for Stage-2 which comprises Psychological Test, Group Test and Interview. Successful candidates will have to undergo for medical examination and thereafter merit list is finally prepared.

Desired applicants are to fill in ‘e-application’ (Online) for this entry. Candidates are to apply online (e-application) from 12/12/2016. The online application registration will cease on 02/01/2017.

4. After submission of application, an application number will be generated by the system, retain it.
5. Take print out of application for future use.

Indian Navy 10+2 Cadet Entry Pay Scale and Promotion

After successfully completing Indian Navy training the candidate will be placed as Sub-Lieutenant in pay scale Rs.15600 – 39100 with grade pay 5400 as per old pay commission.

Training: The training for Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry 2017 is scheduled to commence in July 2017. The Selected applicants will be inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech course in applied Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy. During course period, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineering including Naval Architect specialization or Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
